General
A COLA increases a person's Social Security retirement benefit by approximately the product of the COLA and the benefit amount. The exact computation, however, is more complex.

Each Social Security benefit is based on a "primary insurance amount," or PIA. The PIA in turn is directly related to the primary beneficiary's earnings through a benefit formula. It is the PIA that is increased by the COLA, with the result truncated to the next lower dime.

Steps leading from the PIA to the benefit amount

1, A factor is applied to the PIA to account for early or delayed retirement, with the result truncated to the next lower dime

As much as I hesitate to join the”liver” slide, I have a few things to say. The Oil Filter analogy is not quite complete. An oil filter is removed, disposed, and replaced. The liver is more of a recycling plant. The liver does break down components but it also stores and rebuilds so many products essential to life. Proteins, glucose, many hormones and blood products begin on the liver factory. Too many toxins can overload the organ like the chocolate factory episode of I Love Lucy but it is full of valuable nutrients.

Very interesting. As I said, I’ve heard about him for years, uesd to see his images with flights etc, but never watched. I don’t get any indication he is a scammer, make up artist or bs’er. He gives me the impression of someone wno knows his field, and he definitely is seeing something different in number of flights/destination and origin.

Sounds to me like “the only way is the military” is setting up shop to be ready for action. In the early spring I was thinking mid-fall and before the elections. Now I’m sure the serious action will start after the elections, and before the new Congress etc.
