Those are the ones that are caught.
They are caught because those are the ones they are looking for.
But what if they are searching the wrong group? And do not deviate unless forced to do so?
That would explain the number of serials killers who remain uncaught.

I recall an FBI estimate that at any given point in time there are between 30 and 60 active serial killers in the United States.
Not sure I’m remembering the numbers exactly, but that’s in the ball park.
How about people like Fauci? I’d consider him a government sanctioned serial killer.
