I just saw that stat posted the other day. I was surprised. Especially given the % of the population.
That is questionable.
Those are the ones that are caught.
They are caught because those are the ones they are looking for.
But what if they are searching the wrong group? And do not deviate unless forced to do so?
That would explain the number of serials killers who remain uncaught.

A common misconception however, serial killers come in all colors.
Yeah, I was thinking about that.
I recall an FBI estimate that at any given point in time there are between 30 and 60 active serial killers in the United States.
Not sure I’m remembering the numbers exactly, but that’s in the ball park.
How about people like Fauci? I’d consider him a government sanctioned serial killer.
Maybe he’s a mass murderer instead. I guess there is a distinction.

Of course I am as doubtful of "criminal profiling" as I am of any other brand of physiology. I hold physiologist and professional physics in about the same amount of esteem. Questionable as to which does more damage to the world.
Two of the most prolific American serial killers were nurses (male nurses): Orville Lynn Majors (estimated to have killed 130) and Donald Harvey (estimated to have killed 80). Add in respiratory therapist Efren Saldivar for another 50 (estimated ).
Well, it's a stereotype.
When most people think of "serial killer" they think of the high-IQ Ted Bundy who terrorized the nation while murdering college girls.
In reality, most serial killers are low-IQ blacks who randomly stab prostitutes and homeless bums. Not Hollywood-worthy.
Just like when people think of mass shooters, they think of angry white guys with manifestos and social media profiles who shoot up a school full of people with promising futures.
Again, most mass-shooters are blacks who shoot up their own in acts of rage at a block party or a corner dice game. Again, not Hollywood-worthy.
Wayne Williams as well, Atlanta child murders.
The made for TV movie, about the Atlanta child murder was specifically written to give the possibility of him being an innocent man railroaded to prison.
With him locked up the murders ceased.
Go back farther to the Zebra Killings of the 1970s. I saw a list of possibly 250 killed by them, even though they were arrested for a few.

Diverse now? In 2019 70% of mass shooters were black. They’re taking over everything, sports, TV commercials, welfare roles, murders and more.
