#1 Paradiso in Barcelona Spain.
I’m not seeing any of the ones I worked in.
These places all look sterile and gimmicky.
A couple of weak entries from London? I’d rather find the kind of place where I might find Mr. Pickwick, Andy Capp or Bertie Wooster.
Also, I find it weird that Dubai has so many entries.
I prefer the local dive bars. Good people.
AJ’s Destin, FL. Wall to Wall Trump crowd. Decent food, too.
I don’t drink.
But, they left out, “Shooters” in Rifle, Colorado.
The Tower Pub near the Piazza Navonna in Rome - #1 in my book. The young Roman women in there - OMG
I have a buddy I worked with for years. We spent some of our time in Chicago on business. His brother lived there and seemed to be someone who lived for clubs and bars. Unmarried, very good income from his own business, lived in a downtown hotel owned by a “pal.” Sometimes when we were in Chicago we would go out clubbing and bar hopping with this brother in his latest 85K vehicle.
He knew the maitre de, the doormen, the security at every spot we went. We never stood in line. Some places we didn’t even pay a tab, it would simply be noted as his. We were always introduced to dozens of women who upon departure would blow kisses in the air.
Non-stop party from 5:30 dinner til 2:00 if we wouldn’t insist to go back to our hotel (which was sometimes places like the House of Blues.)
I would add the Delerium Tremens in Brussels..
If not, this list is as useless.
They also left out the “NO SCUM ALLOWED SALOON” in White Oaks, NM.
But I can understand why it was left off the list......
The name alone would prohibit most of the people reading this article from entering.
Couldn’t imagine enjoying myself at 90% of those places. More of a tiki bar/dive bar guy. Our local tiki bar was where Alan Jackson filmed “It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere”. Though it’s much different now, still a pretty cool place.
The best bar is the one that will serve me drinks. And maybe a sandwich if I’m hungry. And cheap. Gotta be cheap.
I’d put Mac’s Club Duce, or the Duce Bar, in Miami Beach, and Husong’s in Ensenada, Baja, Mexico on that list. Both are old-school comfortable places to drink and share conversation.
Worthless list without Put-In-Bay’s (Ohio) Beer Barrel Saloon which claims the longest bar in the world.
The makes a killing on only three months of tourist traffic to the island every year.

If it ain’t got a dirt floor it ain’t a good bar.
I’m glad they left the one in my basement off of the list.
I don’t want the traffic.
