PayPal is reportedly bribing $15 worth of vouchers to account holders to prevent them from canceling their accounts, that only tells you how bad the situation is.
The Gateway Pundit reported that PayPal will begin fining users $2,500 directly from their accounts if they are found to be spreading “misinformation” in its newly updated policy.

Those are reviewed by corporate lawyers before. If not, that means they have no controls on anything they do. So why would you trust the coding to protect your accounts?

So if someone wants to sell on eBay and doesn’t want to use PayPal, then they have to set up a business account to use visa or Mastercard.
BS. An error would be a wrong number. This was intentional, and they got caught.
The fact it had a FINE at all for you being found to say something anywhere or anytime they didn’t agree with is outrageous... whether it was $.02 or $2,000,000 doesn’t make any difference, the fact they think its their role to fine THOUGHT AND SPEECH shows they are a company that belongs in Communist China, not the US... the fact they would even contemplate such a policy tells you all you need to know about Paypal....
PERIOD.
I am not sure. I just buy from the vendors. I have never used PayPal.
All true.
And all children are smarter than their parents, and the black children are frickin’ geniuses!
Ebay allows credit cards, it’s not exclusively PayPal.
Just terminated my account.
Yeah, I know they walked back this “miscommunication,” but I’m not tolerating even the hint of Woke Finance.
Logon to your account. Find the "Close Account" option and select it. That's it.
I saw charge cards.
Yep. And we’ve got a long ways to go:

But what a glorious world it would be out of their net!
I don’t sell, but I buy almost everything on eBay.... great service and prices way lower than Amazon..
I use my charge card
I cancelled years ago when they pulled out of NC because of the “bathroom bill” was “unjust”
Ok many thanks; time for sellers to setup a merchant account with visa & Mastercard (are those the only 2 eBay allows or are there others?)
I closed my account years ago. Paypal broadcast it’s wokeness insanity a long time ago.
By trying to close your account you are guilty of hate and face a $2500 fine is their next management wonder leadership idea. I don’t understand why publicly traded companies are not held guilty of mismanagement by their shareholders. I would like to know who held shorts on PayPal prior to this change in AUP.
If I wipe out billions of dollars in shareholder value by being fiducially negligent, or intentionally then why doesn’t the SEC or shareholders go after the company management.
I just filed a complaint with the NC SecState website.
In order to cancel Paypal in my case I would have to send an email first to payflow-support@paypal.com for a PayFlow account of which I had no previous knowledge.
When submitting siad email, should it not arrive with 5-days of billing date, they may generate fees applied to the following months billing statement that will have to be paid first before they will accept your cancellation (I am not sure whether I would have to submit a second request or not but that was the implication. Additionally, PayPal/PayFlow’s billing process runs 30-days after the current billing cycle.
PayFlow hinders closing the PayPal account with a very difficult email questionaire that you must put into your own email service body of letter.
PayFlow may generate fee’s for various reasons stated and then applied to the following months billing cycle which runs as stated 30 days later.
Paypal does not have an option to remove a payment source, nor do they have a way to suspend the account in lieu of removal of payment source pending cancellation of said account.
Their is no direct way to email paypal, their complaint form is tailored to specific cases, and you can get a call back or sent via pop up to a consumers form for answers or commenting back and forth.
PayPal has intentially hindered consumers ability to cancel or suspend one’s account. The cancellation process may include their requirement to send a self crafted email request for cancellation, with threats of being charged fees that are then charged on the following months billing statement, which in fact, runs 30-days later than the current billing cycle.
Imagine sending a request to Payflow for cancellation 6 days prior to the billing statement because you send it “now” and they charged you a fee (something your local city or state goverment calls a fine), and then puts it on nexts month bill, therby ensuring that you can’t cancel your account for this billing period plus 30 days. Imagine that you might have send a second cancellation request to Payflow within the next billing cycles 5-day window.... Imagine that, that, that over and over again you as a customer try to cancel this account.
These are the tactics that Alarm Companies use. However, you somehow got PayFlow as a result of having PayPal and didn’t give it a second thought and didn’t even thind at the time it was a separate company cynically created with exceptations to hinder your ability to decouple fro PAYPAL.
Feel free to reword any of this and craft your own complaints about the PayPal - PayFlow nexus that excessively leverages their corporate weight to enslave you.
I’ll have to check...won’t have my password until later.
I remember when I first signed up for eBay, I also signed up for PayPal...mainly to put a wall between eBay and my method of payment.(fear of eBay being hacked). PayPal pulls from my charge card, but a thief using my eBay credentials (or sitting down at my desktop), couldn’t automatically pay for something without knowing my PayPal credentials also. Little did I know, PayPal was the actual thief. Now, eBay has 2-step verification and I feel better with s charge card there. Screw PayPal.
