PayPal is reportedly bribing $15 worth of vouchers to account holders to prevent them from canceling their accounts, that only tells you how bad the situation is.

The Gateway Pundit reported that PayPal will begin fining users $2,500 directly from their accounts if they are found to be spreading “misinformation” in its newly updated policy.

"Obama just so they could get them some of Dat “free .obama money” and their “free .Obama a phones”"

Some of them might use Paypal, but I'm guessing most of them don't.

All these people can quit Paypal but can’t quit Facebook. Hilarious.

“I have 3 brothers and a sister that sell on ebay.”

I was futzing around with my eBay acct when all of this PP crap started...checking the allowed payment methods. EBay will no longer allow new PP accts to be added as a payment method. Old ones are grandfathered in. Did PP tick eBay off, I wonder?

Any ad for home alarms = white perps.

There’s the ‘crazy white boy’ ads as well. Black homeowners have the subservient white guy there to deliver pizza or cut the grass. Then the ‘laugh is how incompetent or stupid the white guy is.

They still have the ‘my husband is a moron’ ads directed at Karens. Smart wife is the spokesperson and the moron husband is there for the laughs and incompetence.

If a product in the ad shows more than two couples it’s 90% likely the third couple will be interracial and/or queer.

Paypal used to be an almost necessity for the net..

Anymore, not really.

The fact they would even seriously consider such a policy shows where they stand, and as such, I am done with them, and so are a lot of other folks.

Did anyone screenshot the part of the user agreement where it said the fine would be $2500 for each instance of disinformation?

How are they receiving payments for their eBay sales?

Venmo is part of PayPal and although eBay allows Venmo, it doesn’t allow Zelle.

I’m confused by this. Does PayPal have a chat or other social media function?

I thought it was just a way of transferring money, and getting your bank account hacked.

Just tried and received and ‘ERROR’ and was told to call Customer Service.

Luckily, I closed my account on Tuesday. This was my spouse’s secondary account that I forgot about. It’s not linked to any bank accounts or credit cards.

Its a payment platform and one of the earliest on the internet... Way back when it was almost a necessary thing. Many sites would accept or credit paypal directly..

Did you HAVE to have one, no, but if you didn’t want to put your credit card info into 1000 different web sites PP was the only option... and back in the late 80s many sites didn’t even take credit card directly Paypal ONLY was not uncommon.

In the 24 years since, it’s a whole different game. Once they split from EBAY especially there is little need for them.

I still used them simply because I didn’t like entering my payment information every time I bought something... but its nowhere near the “required” service it used to be...

The company even thinking it was a good idea to “fine” folks for saying things they don’t like... that was the final straw.

I would advise everyone to get off that platform ASAP... any company that thinks their role is to enforce “thought” and “speech” belongs in Communist China, not in the US...

A new one I have noticed is they are hiring actors who greatly resemble AOC, Obama, Hillary, Pelosi, Etc. They are actually going to these levels of ignorant subliminal tactics.
