A worker claimed she joined credit bureau company Equifax, only to quit after 10 minutes when her co-workers said she “wasn’t going to like it.”
In the video, which amassed 86,000 views, @tinkfineass films herself venting as she’s walking back to her car. Say recalls, “I came to work today at 10 o’clock, walked up in there, saw a couple of familiar faces, and they were like ‘Are you our new worker?’ and I was like, ‘Umm, yeah?’ and they was like, ‘You ain’t gonna like here.’”
She claims she spoke to the trainer who gave her a badge and told her to wait in the lobby because the background check wasn’t complete, to which she recalls telling them not to “worry about it” and that “they could have their badge back.”
The video is accompanied by the overlay text: “1st day of work.. Quit after 10 minutes. You ain’t gotta tell me twice.”
A few resonated with the TikToker and shared their own stories of quitting early on in the job. “Lol sheeit i worked a burger king for all of 30 mins lol,” one said.
‘I walked outta Amazon during production my back was hurting,” another said.
Others argued that it’s possible to tell if a job is the right fit as soon as one starts working there. “I wouldve done the same. you can tell they disorganized. wouldnt waste my time,” a viewer argued.
“No bc if the STAFF is telling you something aint right something aint right,” a second pointed out.
Many viewers expressed their confusion and even criticized the decision. “So you allow someone else’s opinion, dictate your check or the lack there of,” just one of the critical responses read.
This criticism prompted @tinkfineass to post a follow-up TikTok, in which she claims there were other “red flags” prior to the co-worker’s comment and that the comment was simply “the final straw.”
The Daily Dot reached out to @tinkfineass via TikTok comment and to Equifax via email.
She should interview for an anchor job on CNN.

Is it just me? I only had one "first day of work" in my entire career; does HR schedule mid-morning arrivals for new hires?

I do not understand “their heritage was brought here under duress” - do you mean their ancestors? If so, so what? The ancestors is dead now. If anybody don’t like being in America, and they ain’t locked up, then that situation is easily remedied! Hop on a plane and haul buns. The average wealth by adult in Africa is south of $5,000 - and that is probably way too high. Sooo, your average black here in America is worth much more than that. Let them sell their stuff, convert it to cash, get a passport and git the heck out. Unhappy White folks in Europe left there hundreds of years ago and had to risk their lives in wooden ships to get here, and then work their butts off to survive. Why can’t the descendants of Kangz and Kweenz do the same???
By the way, I am in NW La, more like Texas than Cajun Country. But I may move one of these years to somewhere more white - like Maine, or New Hampshire or Vermont. Maybe even Canadia!

Local employers: If you receive a job application from this girl, please disregard. She’s not serious about getting and keeping a job. Delete or place her application into the nearest paper shredder, and go on with your day. You “never received it”.
I encounter quite a few young people at my job. I’d say a good portion I meet are like zombies when you talk to them. Devoid of personality and social skills. And occasionally I’ll meet one that’s got manners and some personality and talks and smiles and I think to myself:
Where the heck did you come from?
Most likely, two good parents.

I worked at a place that kept a record of how fast temps quit, and they had to throw it out after one girl came in, and was out the door as soon as the receptionist turned to get a clipboard of paperwork for her. About 15 seconds.
Place was run by a certifiable lunatic, so we figured she was probably the most perceptive person on the planet.
And (1) How is she going to pay the bills and (2) Since making this public, does she really think any other employer will hire her? Since she voluntarily quit, I presume she cannot get unemployment, etc.

And she quit because Equifax wouldn’t let her in the main room where all the confidential information is exposed until her security clearance was approved.
Conrad Hilton was an ethical person who wished for the power to make every person on earth just a little bit richer. Nice thought. Also, in 1942 Hilton said that he knew his marriage to Zsa Zsa Gabor was a mistake 1/2 hour after saying “I do.” They lasted five exhausting years.
