I have always said the quickest way to unload a litter of kittens is in the parking lot of a Korean grocery store.

Like “dog revolutions” in Asia and particularly China - I imagine it will be led by 30-something women and their Pomeranians and Bichon Frise’s

Some of you Egyptian scholars need to explain why an Egyptian professor is named after the founder of modern Turkey? Turks are not Arabs, what gives?

“Muslims are only allowed to own dogs for one of two specific purposes which are guarding or hunting.”
I never heard that before. Food was the only exception.
Correct me if wrong.

It’s important to distinguish between genetic Egyptians and arabs living in Egypt. Genetic Egyptians do not always do what arabs do.

“... However, cats are clean by nature,”
Generally disagree with that. While cats often bathe themselves, one can tell if there are cats in residence immediately upon walking thru the front door of someone’s home. Litter box smells, other ‘accidents’, cat food, etc. I once had to throw away an expensive suitcase because a cat peed in it. Scrubbing, airing outside, nothing, absolutely nothing would get rid of the odor in that luggage.

I lived in Cairo for a few years....back in the 80s. Don’t recall ever seeing a dog. But cats every...even all over the airport.
