Islam considers dogs to be unclean animals. But if I recall correctly, an exception is made for work dogs. So maybe it’s okay as long as you pretend that your pet dog is somehow working. Maybe guarding the house, or some such thing.
Next thing you know they’ll be letting their women go out in public without a sack over their heads.
They aren’t.
Just as the western world is seeing a downturn in religiosity, so too is the Islamic world seeing it. Mosques in tehr6are empty on Friday prayer days and the arab world is not too far behind.
Similarly young Hindus aren’t religious any more either.
