“Pit bulls or part pits are growing in number, because people who like them tend not to like spaying and neutering.”
Not true.
I’ve had nothing but pit-mixes over the last 30 years or so, two males and one female. All were rescues. All were neutered or spayed. As one passed, we replaced it with another. All three were and are great dogs.
We have a large, fenced yard, and it has become somewhat of a “dog park” for friends and neighbors. None of my dogs have ever been aggressive towards any of the other dogs or their people. All my dogs happily played and play with the other dogs.
You want to put all pits down? Then YOU go to their owners, and tell them you want to kill their dogs.
Go back on Ukraine threads tough guy.
Growing up there were two dogs in the extended family who showed aggression toward humans. Both disappeared after aggressive incidents. Years later, my dad was showing me a .25 Colt and he told me that he used it on Rover. One mystery solved. I suspect that my uncle took the other dog for a one-way ride into the country.
I was just gonna say the same thing. People know these dogs are monsters and they still keep them around little kids. The breed ought to be outlawed.
“Go back on Ukraine threads tough guy.”
Project much?
Pit bulls go from zero to full aggression in a split second. There is no stages, no warnings. The other factor that is that they are lethal where other dogs may just snap or bite. In New Mexico there was an eight year old pit bull that slept in the back of a gun shop. There was never a problem till one day he ripped a four year olds face off. As someone else wrote, “they are like a loaded gun.”
Yea, saved me the typing.
Nope.
My wife tells me her childhood story that their dog “went to live on a farm.” He’d been hit by a car and put down. She didn’t learn the truth until she was 50!
You are driven by emotion.
Young black men commit the most crimes of violence, as a percentage of their number. Are you going to apply the same remedy to them as you want to apply to a dog breed? Kill them all?
Because that is your logic.
I hope you never have anything more animated than a pet rock.
I care not what you think. You’re a nobody.
“Two dogs make a pack. They will work together against their prey because instinct takes over. Even non-pits will do this in the right situations. Not kill necessarily, but will do it even in play against the “master.””
I have two dogs, and they are both very protective of my son. One will sleep at the foot of his bed, and the other will be at the top of the stairs outside his room. The only time they try “playing” us is they’ll both act as if they haven’t been fed yet to try and get more food.
And the only time I’ve seen them get aggressive is if a pitbull comes around.
So what happened the first time one of your “sweet” dog gets aggressive with other people or other dogs and your dog park?
I think you shouldn’t be defensive about your dogs I think you should lock them up if you’re gonna keep them. Don’t let them be around other people or dogs ever.
“My wife tells me her childhood story that their dog “went to live on a farm.” He’d been hit by a car and put down. She didn’t learn the truth until she was 50!”
I remember those days! I’m in my 70s, and growing up we always had a dog, usually some mutt. When we were little kids, and it was their time to go, my folks told us that the dog went to live on a farm or a ranch.
“I care not what you think. You’re a nobody.”
My dog would tend to differ. What does your pet rock think of you?
Otherwise referred to as a White lie. White = good.
Was sure it was going to be Goldens this time. /s
You’re the geriatric **** that was alive when pet rocks were around. Bye Boomer.
According to local news the dogs belonged to the grandparents.
That being said there have been multiple reports if pit bulls turning on their owners, sometimes killing them.
These dogs were bred to kill other dogs and can be unpredictable.
