New York Giants punter Jamie Gillan did not travel back with the team from London, sources told ESPN. He remains overseas as he deals with a passport issue.
The Giants defeated the Green Bay Packers 27-22 on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. They were aware of the issue prior to the trip, and expect him back this week before playing the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
New York did not work out any punters on Tuesday as a contingency.

If he was picking lettuce or designing software, he’d be fine as an Illegal, but punting for the NY Giants, not so much.
Wonder what the issue is...his passport was good enough to leave here, be admitted to England and to play but not good enough to travel home.
Curious.
Since he was British, he probably didn't have any issues going home. I'm thinking a visa issue instead of a passport issue, but it could be that the passport is expiring before his anticipated departure date from the US and needs to be renewed.
Yes. Illegals get free reign.
Gotcha...thanks
It’s not unheard of for European countries to just look at the cover of a passport and let you through...at least it happened once upon a time. It happened to me in Germany some years ago.I’d guess that the issue is that it’s expired.
If they played against the Lions they wouldn’t have needed him there in the first place.
He should go to Mexico and then swim across the Rio Grande.
And, the slugs in the NFL front office want to expand the league to Europe ?
Corporatists are killing the NFL. They’re trying to kill college football with the NIL boondoggle.
The NBA, Noosecar, and MLB are imploding. But, they just don’t learn.
Go woke, go broke.
Indeed
If you are a US citizen, you do not need a passport to get back into the country. So this is a mysterious situation.
Fly to Mexico, “sneak” across the Rio Grande, and Governor Abbott will bus him to New York. Problem solved.
Yup, and he get a free bus ride to New York from there.
Unless he is not a US Citizen, which he isn’t.
Ah…did not know that.
