Long list with a lot of negative comments.
“I want a hippotamus for Chrismas.”
I put that on a Christmas CD for now-wife and -stepdaughter when latter was about seven years old. Drove future wife nuts playing that song over and over.
That Christmas song by a certain singer with the initials “MC”, that I will dare not name.
> She was the granddaughter of Grandpa Jones, from Hee Haw fame
Did you ask her what really was for supper?
anything by Otis Redding
Her name was Lola
She had Ebola
She said she caught it from some meat
from a vendor on the street
Lol, probably. Most likely she responded with some real southern country food, just like Grandpa did. She had an even stronger southern accent than I did. I remember asking her why she called where she lived a “holler” and she tried to explain it to me, but I had a hard time understanding it at our young age. I just thought she was a little quirky, but back then, I think we all were a little bit like that.
And she’s an observant Jew, too rare for my tribe in Hollywood
“Gertz has been married to business executive Tony Ressler since 1989. They have three sons: Oliver Jordan Ressler (born 1992), Nicholas Simon Ressler (born 1995), and Theo Ressler (born 1998).[10][11][12]
Gertz and her husband are members of the investment group led by Mark Attanasio which purchased the MLB franchise Milwaukee Brewers. Gertz-Ressler High Academy, a member of Alliance College-Ready Public Schools, is named for Gertz and her husband.[13] They also became owners of the NBA team Atlanta Hawks in 2015.[14] Gertz represented the Hawks in the NBA Draft Lottery for the 2018, 2019, and 2020 NBA drafts.[15]
The Giving Back Fund named Gertz and her husband the number-one donor to charity of any celebrity in 2010.[16] Gertz serves as a board director for the Melanoma Research Alliance, the largest nonprofit funder of melanoma research.[17]”
1977 Going for the One Tour, I saw that myself. Don’t remember much but I was there.
That’s quite an impressive CV.
“I am maybe very alone in this regard, “
NO YOU ARE NOT...
I love Abba.
“Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart” - utterly inane!
Love his song “Joanne”, it is a great tune.
I never thought it was a husband, just a significant other. But maybe...
Probably my favorite Monkees song is “What Am I Doing Hangin’ Round?” written by Nesmith’s friend Michael Martin Murphy.
All his stuff from the George Duke days was incredible.
Mostly gay sex, ugh
Never liked that played out song but loved Gloria Gaynor’s, How High The Moon....
