Lol, probably. Most likely she responded with some real southern country food, just like Grandpa did. She had an even stronger southern accent than I did. I remember asking her why she called where she lived a “holler” and she tried to explain it to me, but I had a hard time understanding it at our young age. I just thought she was a little quirky, but back then, I think we all were a little bit like that.

Haha, that’s pretty cool. Having grown up in the boring midwest, I don’t have any interesting stories like that. I don’t even think anybody halfway famous grew up in or near our podunk town.

Okay, just remembered a correction - I think a second cousin my Dad’s side was in Grand Funk Railroad, but I never met the dude.

Whatevs.

At least you got a cool story out of it.

Hmm ... Actually, second correction ... Lance Parrish’s (of Detroit Tigers 1984) daughter went to our church, and was in our youth group. And yes, she was hot.

Never asked her anything. I was a shy kid. Go figure.
