Me, from Texas, moved to California. I had NO IDEA that I was not supposed to talk to my neighbors, saying Good Morning!!

I know of one man who lived in a house for 11 years and did not know his neighbors!!!! I went to the neighbor’s house by mistake and they said, “Some young man lives there.”....could not believe this!!!

I recently bought a house, looked up the three neighbors behind me in the neighborhood directory, called them all to introduce myself. This in an area with 1/3 to 1/2 acre lots, and a few empty, so a little bit of elbow room. I’m sure many Californians would think me odd for doing this.
