Vertappen became the F1 World Champion today, after winning the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.
12 wins out of 18 races this year with 4 more races to go.
Could break the single season record of 13 wins.
32 F1 wins altogether.
Only 25 years old.
Probably going to end up with at least 5 world championships altogether if not more.

I do now.
Indycar is the most compelling open wheel racing series in the world. So I agree with you. However, Formula one is not a joke. It is the real deal.
In particular I liked the middle Steve Urkle picture.
I’m not sure if I can put this any other way. I love Max. I’m so happy for him. Good things still do happen.

I used to think that.
But, the F1 tracks are much more difficult. It’s not just about going fast. It’s about driving, pit strategy, tire strategy, and the long haul of the season.
I will watch Indy series and NASCAR…the good thing about racing is you can enjoy all of the different types. Each type has its pros and cons.

wut a goof...
i wonder if he comes out before, or after he’s finished...
LOL- name me a team outside Ferrari or Red Bull that won a race this season......i’ll wait
Why? Driving, pit strategy and tire strategy don’t matter in Indy Car??
You know how many different drivers won F1 races this year? 4 in 18 races
You know how many different drivers won Indy car races this year? 9 in 17 races
oh- and btw- disagree 10000% F1 tracks are more difficult than Indy car street/road courses. F1 tracks are designed with huge paved run off areas, many of the street courses besides the road course.
Indy?? The paved run off areas are nil compared to F1.
Indy car?? Four dedicated road courses/6 street courses the rest ovals.
F1? 16 dedicated road courses/ 5 street courses including Miami
Kudos also to Red-Bull / Oracle. I’m definitely going to be in Vegas November 2023.
Born in September 1997..! Good gravy, I’ve got socks older then that.....
“ Indy car is much, much more competitive open wheel racing “
Agreed.
So what?
That doesn't make the races any less exciting.
Like I pointed out before, Verstappen even won the Belgian Gran Prix from a far back 14th position on the grid.
That race provided lots of excitement alright.
Stayed up to watch it and glad I did. Also nice not seeing Ham near the podium.
Hamilton is a douchebag. Any driver that has a professional mother to help to calm him down shouldn’t be racing.
LOL- sure it doesn’t. Knowing who is going to win before the green lights go on, regardless of them starting at the back of the grid- is riveting!!!!
