That’s cool. My wife’s great or great great grandfather was best friends with Buffalo Bill
**Who were the most important people I have met in my life?**
Your question could be a new, interesting thread;)
I had no idea my vanity would have so many responses. I have had to research many sports figures listed. It’s been educational.
God bless.
Whoa very cool. I guess I can’t really say for sure. But I think that movie Paul Newman did about Buffalo Bill in the 70s was very very unfair and probably horribly inaccurate. The movie made him into a raving madman. But the movie is interesting how it makes a portrayal of what the wild west show me have looked like.
Nice thread
-Met the Dukes of Hazzard actors as a kid
-Met Robert Morgan of Memphis Belle fame
-Once flew on an American Airlines flight with race pimp Al Sharpton.
-Saw W and and his dad speak
-Saw various bands at Lollapalooza, though never met the band members.
-The best memories are of the folks that did various historic things or held great roles, though they themselves were not famous. WWII/Korea/Vietnam/Gulf War vets. Former aerobatic pilots. Governors, Mayors, Archibishops, Olympians, Professors, etc. Each person had a story. Sometimes that story wasn’t appreciated until after they were dead.
Met Peter Lawford in Hawaii. Sam Walton twice at Walmart.
I was within five feet of Queen Elizabeth. (And Cheney)

I thought this thread was going to be dumb but it’s a cool idea

I was at work in a meeting with 2 California natives. After we got under the table, as a California newcomer I asked if this was normal for earthquakes. I got a little concerned when they vehemently said no.

James Madison
Woodrow Wilson
John Kennedy
Ronald Reagan
George Bush
John Lennon
Fred Rogers and
Lawrence Taylor
I had the honor of introducing Woodrow Wilson to Ronald Reagan and James Madison is a descendent of the former president and even looks a bit like him. Perhaps the biggest surprise is that George Washington is a white guy.
When I was a kid, a Blue Angel flew right over my house, it couldn't have been more than 50 feet off the deck. I can still replay that moment in my mind!
I got an autograph from jazz great Duke Ellington circa 1965. Still have it. I was surprised how short he was.
I almost got an autograph from radio personality Jean Shepherd at a car show. He was signing dollar bills for some fans, but he stopped before I could get to him. I did get a couple of real nice close-up photos of him.
