A Southwest Airlines pilot is suing the company, her union and a former colleague who pleaded guilty last year to dead-bolting the cockpit door during a flight and stripping naked in front of her.
Christine Janning alleges that Southwest retaliated by grounding her after she reported co-pilot Michael Haak to the company and the FBI. Janning's suit also notes that Haak remained employed despite an alleged history of sexual misconduct and that managers disparaged her in memos.
Janning also alleges that the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association conspired with the airline and refused to support her after the August 10, 2020 incident. She is suing Haak for sexual assault.
'On the Flight, Cpt. Haak announced to Ms. Janning that this was to be his final flight, and that there was "something [he] wanted to do before retiring,' the lawsuit reads. 'Cpt. Haak then bolt-locked the cockpit door, in violation of Federal Law, such that only he and Ms. Janning were inside and such that no one else could enter.

.....aaaaaaand, the photographic proof.
Anyone have that George Constanza “Was that wrong?” meme pic?
Spray naked dudes junk and he will have something else to think about.
It never happened so much that the guy pled guilty to it last year.
Did he ask: “Have you ever seen a grown man naked?”
As for grounding her, depends on how hysterical she was when she reported the incident. Could be the higher ups found her mental status unsafe for cockpit duty.
Well, was he at least wearing a Mask?
...on his face, I mean.
“I’ll take “things that never happened” for $500, Alex.”
Are you sure you want to make that a Daily Double?
You win the thread.
Sounds like a Biden
>>The man just wanted to fly a plane naked once. Is that so much to ask, after all his years of service???
Etiquette requires asking the other party if they like gladiator movies before doing so.
Is there a cockpit surveillance camera onboard? Does she have proof that the incident occurred as she stated? A phone vid maybe?
I don’t say she is lying, but it is always a possibility.
Whether he did the rest of it is speculative but that he took off all of his clothing is beyond doubt.
...and then I read the rest of the story...
“After 9/11 weren’t cockpit doors supposed to be locked?”
Locked but not dead-bolted
“former colleague who pleaded guilty last year to dead-bolting the cockpit door during a flight and stripping naked in front of her.”
“Haak remained employed”
He should have been immediately terminated.
She needed to set the transponder to Mayday.
So, it sounds like the pilot didn’t get off.
“It never happened so much that the guy pled guilty to it last year.”
But not to what she is claiming. And she has got caught in other lies.
Where was the copilot? Don’t they have keypad entry on airliner doors? Very odd story that does not add up.
