UPDATE3:05 PM PT -- Bobby Wagner's head coach, Sean McVay, says he's not even flinching over the police report ... telling media members Wednesday, "We all know where Bobby's intentions were, and I support Bobby Wagner."
NO ILL WILL
Los Angeles Rams
"That's where I'm at with that," he added. "I don't think anybody would disagree." 2:40 PM PT -- Wagner spoke with reporters about the incident on Wednesday ... saying, "It's behind me." "Can't really focus on it. I'm more concerned about the security guard that was hurt trying to chase him and the people that was ... we don't know what that is and you just gotta do what you gotta do."
ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES
Wagner added he's aware of the police report ... but further explained his actions. "You just never know," he added. "You never know, like, people run on the field for no reason sometimes and again, I'm pretty sure it's gonna keep happening, but you never know what that person got in they pocket, in they hands, whatever. Kind of like what I said after the game so, you know, there's consequences for your actions." As for the guard, TMZ Sports is told it was the 49ers' director of security and he's fine. The fan who was leveled by Bobby Wagner after running onto the field during "Monday Night Football" this week has now filed a police report over the incident ... TMZ Sports has learned.
The man went to the Santa Clara Police Dept. on Tuesday following the Rams vs. 49ers game, cops tell us, and filed the report. A spokesperson did not reveal any further details.
A rep for Direct Action Everywhere -- the org. that took credit for the wild scene at Levi's Stadium -- told us the report stems from a "blatant assault" by two Rams players.
BOBBLED BY BOBBY
As we reported, two protesters jumped railing at the stadium during the second quarter of the contest ... and armed with pink smoke bombs, they attempted to disrupt the action on the field.
One of the protesters, a woman, was taken down before she could get onto the playing surface. The other protester, though, evaded security long enough to take a jaunt on the gridiron.
The guy juked stadium staffers for several moments ... but as he headed toward the Rams' sideline, Wagner -- with some help from teammate Takkarist McKinley -- flattened him.

According to Direct Action Everywhere, the individuals performed the stunt in order to raise awareness for a trial involving the alleged theft of pigs from a factory farm. The org. said the man suffered a burn injury during the incident.
"Otherwise," they said in a statement, "they're a bit beaten up but in good spirits."
For his part, Wagner said after the game he jumped in to help security for safety reasons.
"You don't know what that fan got or what they're doing," the star linebacker said.
Wagner has not been arrested or charged with any crime.

They just want a huge donation for their save the animals gig.
Bobby Wagner should be named Player of the Week !
What the....
idiot runs on field with smoke during a game.
This is a and should be considered a threat - period.
Said protestor is lucky he isn’t undergoing concussion protocol right now (if only).
protestor is merely trying to get more press. Just think of what he would be going through if he was protesting the war in Ukraine...
... the press would be mad that he wasn’t hit harder.
If it’s in the game, it’s in the Game!
He should have run onto Ford Field, the Lions can’t tackle anybody.
Oh Dude, you know that small print on the back of the ticket to the game you purchased, well that’s the legal notice that football is dangerous.......
From that great hit, it sure looked like he lost standing...yuck, yuck, yuck.
“Down goes Frazier! Down Goes Frazier!”........................
Go ahead and sue ya punk. You were breaking multiple laws and that smoke flare could have been very dangerous. A reasonable man fearing for his safety and the safety of others took prudent steps to protect himself and others.
Ya’ got nothin’ - You’ll get nothin’
I posted that clip in a thread about this the other day. Mike “The Animal” Curtis showed everybody how to deal with these idiots. That’s the gold standard.
Lousy copy, but for some reason the only clip on YouTube just of that incident.
Also not having sound now. Sorry, but that’s the best I could find.
Citizens arrest, citizens arrest
Going a step further, the are federal and likely state laws on the books addressing incendiary devices. The smoke bomb in question could meet the legal definitions if authorities choose to go this path to prosecution.
“you never know what that person got in they pocket, in they hands, whatever...”
True. So to avoid getting tackled you should only run out on to the field if you are streaking.
