I keep hearing news and business shows casually mentioning the terrible consequences if Elon doesn’t censor twitter.

My goodness, he might even allow former President Trump to tweet!

Now they’re starting to mention that the laws of China, Middle East, and even Europe will be violated if Twitter dares to have Free Speech.

Trump has stated repeatedly he won't go back to Twatter.

Leave it to the leftist assholes to use big tech against us. I hope to God Musk can turn this around at least a little.

I would imagine that the Trump twitter account will be re-activated and if Trump does not elect to use it Musk will likely ask for permission to echo all his posts on Truth Social to his old twitter account.

It’s what I would seek to do... it allows Trump to say he did not return to twitter but lets him post to twitter by just posting to his own platform and places his posts before a very large audience. many of his old followers will still be following his old twitter account...what was it up to, 100 million or so...

...Trump has stated repeatedly he won't go back to Twatter...

Factually correct. BUT there is a practical matter to be considered. I think DJT has a lot more impact on Twitter than if he sticks to Truth Social. Possibly crucial for a 2024 election, and even possibly able to influence the 2022 mid-terms.

I wonder if Elon is willing to take the chance on inviting him back, which would certainly earn the wrath of the RAT party. No big deal if DJT wins in 2024, but huge if he loses.

As usual, Trump is the elephant in the room and this will play out in the near future.

Maybe someone just reposts all of Trump's statements on Truth Social on Twitter. An easy solution to the issue.

Keep in mind that Musk also has Starlink. His satellite array is not nearly finished yet but it could be made to function as a free-access backup internet in case the internet comes under attack.

I foresee the combination of Starlink and Twitter to become something heretofore unseen and undreamed of in capability. The Starlink system will have a shorter ping time than any terrestrial system once it links the sats using their lasers. It can also be made to operate with existing smartphones... directly to the satellites, no ground stations needed. Musk has a system of thousands of LEO satellites, all connected using lasers and with programmable SDR capabilities. The power of the system is awesome.

I expect Musk will have to move operations outside the US soon to avoid governmental red-tape and outright sabotage.

These are just rumors at this point. Just who is it twitter that made these demands? I thought they had already agreed on a deal.

There are going to be so many pro-Donal Trump Sr. surrogates on Twitter, anyways, that it won’t matter whether Donald Trump, himself, also, tweets, or not.

Well, he has already moved most of his operation to Texas. Is that close to being “outside the US”?

Smile.

Those conditions make no sense, no public business ever has had the power to bind on the soul private owner any lasting conditions after purchase.

Even if they actually did try to push it, No person buying 100% ownership of a property would ever agree to contractually binding conditions leaving the seller with part ownership and rights over the property.

Total fake news or some half twisted fact.

Correct. A new owner of a privately held company can do nothing he wishes.
