Having grown up in the suburbs of Boston (1950s/1960s) I didn't have the first clue that Country music existed. There were no radio stations on the air...nothing. But now I see that although I can't call myself a fan there were more than a few great Country songs...including Coal Miner's Daughter.

"I ain’t stupid, I’m ignorant!" I have found that an intelligent distinction that many "intelligent" people fail to make.
There is no shame in being ignorant.
There is shame in staying ignorant when you know you are ignorant.

There is a cure for ‘ignorant’. It is called ‘learning’.
There isn’t a cure for ‘stupid’.
