Green gimmicks always fail. But like all leftist policies, that just means more money has to be put into making them work.
The SeaPod, developed by the ocean-innovation technology company Ocean Builders, was meant to be the first of many pieces of “revolutionary blue technology,” the company’s mission statement says, meant to make “the 72% of the world that is covered in water into an eco-sustainable paradise.”
The ultra-minimalist home has an 830-square-foot living space divided into three levels, featuring all of the home essentials including a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and space for storage.
It doesn’t state how many of those 830-square-feet are actually underwater.
At its grand unveiling on September 22, a futuristic luxury model home meant to float on the water toppled over in front of an audience that included Panama’s president, Laurentino Cortizo.
According to Autoevolution, local media covered the unveiling of the prototype but neglected to mention, for lack of a better term, what truly went down at the event. Naturally, though, videos of the collapse surfaced on social media shortly after:
Environmental measures never fail. The media just doesn’t cover their failures and then unleashes fact checks to explain why they never failed.
Ecoparadise will have to wait another day. Or a million or a billion.
Lol...
Somebody wasted some dough.
Watch out for the word, “sustainable”, code for Leftist totalitarian government and their gain at your expense all based on the utterly unscientific fiction that the world is being emptied of its resources - a claim which is not supported by sound scientific research, but fueled by fear, greed, and utter faithlessness.
Faith in God understands that God made the world for man’s eternal existence - a world that is very wealthy with an abundance of riches and self-replenishing.
How much in taxpayer grant$ were involved?
An ultra-minimalist home meant to float on the water, eh? Such things have existed for a very long time; they’re called “boats”. Most of them don’t sink immediately, either.
They should have made it out of plastic straws and water bottles. They tell me those will float around in the ocean for a 100 years or more.
Humans have been making boats for thousands of years, and the principles are well known and documented.
You would think that these eco-nutcases would avail themselves of the knowledge..................
This is the same, the SAME, mindset that insists that if theywere in charge communism would work.
These are the mindless end of the liberal spectrum, the area where critical thinking is called racist and consequences are for “little(r) people to deal with”.
Be careful if you get the straws from California. They make them out of paper now.
There will be about eight billion fewer of us by then if WEEF has anything to say about it.
WEEF? No, WEF.
“The ultra-minimalist home has an 830-square-foot living space divided into three levels.”
So about the size of a small apartment split into 3 floors. Less than 300 sf per.
Cozy.
If you’re a hamster.

World Elitist Euthanasia Forum?.............
They didn’t realize that Adult Swim’s “Sealab 2020” was a surreal farce comedy.
Reminds me of the thing that one of the villains lived in from one of the James Bond/Sean Connery movies. Ernst Stavro Blofeld lived in something similar in “Thunderball”.
It blew up/sank too.
Well, if you made a houseboat, out of wood, then it would be sustainable, AND it would actually float! Out here, at least, wood grows on trees.

Not shown, the local Navy shows up and seizes the thing. From the beginnings - a certain loser.
I don’t see any red and green or white lights on that thing.
It is a menace to navigation........................
Don’t think of it as sunk, think of it as differently floating.
