I know, shouldn't be watching but channel surfing, I said to myself, "I didn't know that the Steelers were playing Dallas today", and then the announcer said the DC team had new away uniforms.

Isn't this team color and geographical appropriation?

In the early days of the Pittsburgh Penguins, their colors were blue and white, they changed the colors to black and gold, to match the city's other professional sports teams, Pirates and Steelers.

I'm just trying to think like a liberal here, the Penguins taking the Bruins colors, is kind of team color appropriation, but not geographic appropriation, unlike the Washington whatever football team. :}

Yes, Ted Green had a plate in his head due to a vicious stick in the head delivered by St. Louis Blue Wayne Maki.

NHL players mostly did not wear helmets in those days.

Ted Green died three years ago after a long illness.

Wayne Maki died at the age of 29 on May 12, 1974 of some sort of brain tumor.

Solid red uniforms with DOC on the back would be more appropriate.

It might be a little difficult getting players to sign up. Then again, most of the players have some brushes with the law.
