@RealRossU
Tomorrow I’ll begin my 10th year in prison.
I don’t know what to say. I screwed up. I ruined my life and caused a lot of pain. When I look back and see my many mistakes, I feel immense regret.

Silk Road was a dark website that sold drugs and other illegal things. He was sentenced to 2 life terms plus 40 years.
To: RandFan
I ruined my life and caused a lot of pain I think I would be a bit more impressed if he expanded on this sentence quite a bit.

Yeah, he appealed it all the way up to the Supreme Court and lost all appeals along the way.

Last 40 years will be a drag

If I am not mistaken slaves and kids were sold on this site?
Murders for hire?
Now I am not sure if he tried to stop it but the idea behind Silk Road was, anything goes, as I understand it.
Open to correction.

I saw his mom trying to promote his release at FreedomFest in July. She seems to understand it’s a long shot.

Supposedly, Donald Trump
thought about commuting his sentence, but obviously ended up not doing so.
To: RandFan
I had sympathy for him until I read he hired a hitman to kill someone.

Ross forgot to cut the deep state into his business. If he had, he’d probably be a US senator.
The weenie deep state soi bois fear men with rifles, not people who start businesses.
To: libh8er
That was never proven only insinuated and he denies it

I often wonder if he really did that or not. People actually kill people and get much much lighter sentences as well.

He could still do so at some point.
This is exactly what the presidential patronage is for to correct a harsh sentence like this.
It’s his only hope as the courts aren’t interested.

He hired hitmen or someone posing as hitmen, and paid them big money in bitcoin to murder not only someone he thought had double-crossed him, but all the unrelated persons living in the same house.
A real sociopath.
