If I am not mistaken slaves and kids were sold on this site?

Murders for hire?

Now I am not sure if he tried to stop it but the idea behind Silk Road was, anything goes, as I understand it.

Open to correction.

New reports state that child porn was the one thing he barred on the site, but the drugs sold on it were “of the purest quality.”

He was accused of murder for hire... maybe to persuade him to talk- but for some reason the feds did not pursue that in court.

And two of the federal investigators ended up in prison too, which is awkward.

Silk road was an anonymous ebay. Because it’s users were not tracked, some users sold drugs and guns and things like that. There was never a proven case of murder for hire although it was alleged. This kid never sold drugs or guns himself. He provided a truly anonymous ebay like platform. He got more time than a murderer. Interestingly, 2 of the fbi agents that confiscated the $70 million of so in Bitcoin from the site later went to jail for trying to sell it illegally to enrich themselves. I wonder how much time they got?
