Noah, 38, who hails from South Africa, took over the show from former host Jon Stewart in 2015.
Viewing figures were typically around 1.5 million for each episode during Stewart's tenure and rose as high as 2.5 million in 2013.
Nine years on, and viewing figures for the week of September 19-25 showed The Daily Show pulled in an audience of just 363,000, according to television and film ratings site ShowbuzzDaily.com - a drop partially attributed to the rising popularity of YouTube and streaming platforms versus legacy media, but also associated with the show's increasing political bias and perceived tilt towards embracing 'woke' ideology.

True that. Saw this guy for a few minutes & he was awful.
One would think that the flagship show on comedy central would actually be funny.
As a comedian, you should be able to, at a minimum, make people smile occasionally. This guy literally sucks the funny out of the room. He should work in a funeral parlor.

Even if I agreed with his communist view, this guy is not the least bit funny.
He’s worse than that annoying kid in the jr. High school lunchroom who’s trying to get your group to like him… but nobody does because he’s UN-funny and annoying and has no self awareness.
At least Bill Hicks was funny sometimes.

IIRC, Stewart and Noah had upwards of 30 writers that wrote their jokes.
That show should be cancelled, not just the unfunny host.
Next they need to get rid of Kimmel and Fallon.

This clown and Samantha Bee, both canceled. Both had TDS, good riddance.
Of course that was back when there were 3 tv channel options instead of 467....
