Molotov cocktails are made with gasoline. Not lithium ion batteries.

Gasoline cars blow up at 10x the rate of Tesla vehicles.

Gasoline cars, when used correctly, are constant explosions of flammable liquid. Relatively easy for controlled to become uncontrolled.

What's comparative rate of spontaneous combustion (i.e., no collision or traffic accident) fires or blow ups occurring in gasoline cars vs. Tesla vehicles?

Can you do FR a favor? Go down to your local firehouse and ask the firefighters how many times they have seen a car with an ICE explode. Even the gas tanks don’t explode. They pop, drain and form a flaming puddle.

Car explosions are for the movies.

Thanks for that Elon.

How about explain how long it takes for a gasoline car to be put out when on fire as compared to EV battery powered cars?

It’s good to know that even within FR, we have progressive Greenies.......

"lithium-ion batteries have a volatile, flammable electrolyte"<

It's like having gasoline-powered cars with the battery stored inside the gas tank.

“Gasoline cars blow up at 10x the rate of Tesla vehicles.”

You might have been correct except that you use the word ‘Rate’ is problematic.

I have been in the business since Reagan was President and the closest thing I have seen to a vehicle “blowing up” was a gasoline tanker rolled over and split open.

I have seen cars with the rear end squashed by the duals of a trailer and the occupants climb out of the twisted wreckage and dust themselves off and refuse transport to the ER.

Cars don’t explode in real life like they do in Hollywood.
