You know, I’m starting to think that all the Storm Chaser, and Weather Channel coverage is convincing people that it’s “Not THAT bad”. They all cut out before the REALLY bad stuff hits.
Sanibel Island and Fort Myers never stood a chance of survival. ANYONE who lived on 5’ or less elevation and stayed there is LUCKY, IF they are alive.

Fortunately, most of them survive it…
I agree…I think it would be fairly cheap to replace the structures in a lot of Florida mobile home parks (which are mostly elderly couples or single people) with equivalent nice block structures. They could buy or rent.
