If people think they can get Cologuard every year it is not common. Check with your insurance company. Perhaps Union insurance allows it. Most limit it to every three years.
Here is an example with Blue Cross Blue Shield
I’m not old enough for Medicare
I left Blue Cross Blue Shield after they kept raising their premiums for less coverage year after year. Two years later I received a $600 check from them for overcharging me and many others. They’re held in check my regulation based on their expenditures and premium ratios and had to issue refunds
I’m due for a colonoscopy (I think I’m supposed to get one every 4 years), but I also got a mailer for testing poop and mailing it in (is that Cologuard?). But then iirc I was reading something (on FR?) where if the Cologuard gives a certain reading then you won’t be covered by insurance for a colonoscopy later. That’s probably not right, but there was some sort of complication where folks were saying to be careful and check out everything before doing the poop-in-the-mail thing. It sounds like you know what’s up - any comments or suggestions?
