I’m due for a colonoscopy (I think I’m supposed to get one every 4 years), but I also got a mailer for testing poop and mailing it in (is that Cologuard?). But then iirc I was reading something (on FR?) where if the Cologuard gives a certain reading then you won’t be covered by insurance for a colonoscopy later. That’s probably not right, but there was some sort of complication where folks were saying to be careful and check out everything before doing the poop-in-the-mail thing. It sounds like you know what’s up - any comments or suggestions?

If you test positive then it is likely now considered diagnostic subject to your deductible. Same with the Septin 9 test.

Cologuard can have issues sometimes with people who have hemorrhoids.

Of course some insurances may view it differently
