It amazes me that Christians believe in the Bible, but most do not recognize spirit attachment as real. Removing attached spirits was a very common healing method for Jesus.
In 1993 a 38 year old Emergency Room nurse came to me for pain management using hypnosis. I had just learned hypnosis and a mutual friend told her about me. She had a letter from her Dr. I requested stating that it was ok to use hypnosis as pain management, as pain is a symptom and blocking it may result in not detecting a serious illness like cancer.
The pain in her left shoulder and arm was idiopathic, and according to the Dr's, it was most likely caused by arthritis.
What happened next was totally outside the belief system of this left brained logical bean counter's belief system.
The woman was somnambulistic, meaning she immediately went into a deep trance. All I did was ask her, "If that pain in your shoulder could speak, what would it say?"
A male voice answered me out of this woman's mouth and yelled, "Get out of here!"
Startled, I replied ""Who said that?"
This man tells me his name. I continued by asking what he was doing here, and he replied that he was killed in a car accident in South Williamsport on Rt 15, on the corner by McDonald's. He followed his body in the ambulance to the hospital where he met this nurse in the ER and moved into her body.
I continued to ask questions and he told me his address, phone number, and many details about his family and friends.
When asked what caused his actual death, he replied that he was thrown from the car and it rolled on him. What part of your body I asked? "My left side."
This was my very first realization that memories are stored in the soul and not the human brain as this man's memory of the pain from his injuries was manifesting in the nurse.
I asked him why he stayed with her and he replied, "I love her."
Me, "If you love her, why are you causing her this pain?"
Him, "I didn't know I was causing it."
Me, "But you know now?"
Him, "Yes."
Me, "You realize that you need to leave?"
Him, "Yes."
Me, "Would you like to apologize to her for the pain you caused her?"
Him, "Yes."
He then apologized to her, his voice coming out of her mouth.
So I asked her, "Would you accept his apology?"
She replied "Yes" as her left arm raised up, stretching upward as far as it could reach. Suddenly, her arm went limp and fell back down.
He had left to cross over to Heaven and her pain was totally gone.
I had recorded the session, and gave her the copy of the tape. It was very surreal for me, and took a long time to process into my belief system.
This was the first of many similar sessions. They quickly adapted to use prayer and often the results were even more profound.
Almost thirty years later, I seldom do sessions, and long ago stopped using hypnosis. Now I just take hold of the consciousness of the attached spirit and pull it out, focusing more on healing the wound in the person's soul that opened the door to allow the deceased spirit to enter.
This is not fiction or delusion. I was a university professor at the time, and returned to get a degree in psychology & study anatomy & physiology and religion(s) to better understand the realms of consciousness. The last twenty years were focused on learning the neuroscience of the process, as I believe in evidence based medicine.

When I am near a person who has had a real NDE, I experience what they did during their NDE when I merely touch the stored memory of it in their soul.
Many who have written books and are famous have not. They have had ego rescue experiences that are quite different.
What you say about schizophrenia is sometimes true, but not always.
The soul is complex and there are many variables. I have worked with schizophrenia patients and studied their consciousness patterns.
I often see the voices enter their head in the right temporal parietal junction, just above the right ear.
It’s too long a narrative to describe the neural anatomy here.
Being discussed by others right now is an awakening taking place where humans are transcending to a higher level of consciousness through prayer and meditation. Unfortunately, there are demonic social engineers out there who believe their solution is better. These vain, demonic fools believe they can change God’s human masterpiece into some sort of grotesque cyborg creature.
I agree with what you say. I believe the path to higher consciousness is a personal one, a path each must discover. However, you provide a great service in confirming this vast undeveloped and underutilized scope of the consciousness field.
Years ago Edgar Casey discovered a higher level of consciousness and wrote books on his discovery. Today the Casey Institute operates in Virginia and conducts sessions on his hemi-sync method of attaining higher consciousness through frequency manipulation. All very fascinating.
I was walking down the center of Bourbon Street in New Orleans, listening to the music from all the open doors of the establishments.
One had a band playing Credence Clearwater Revival so I went inside to hear it better.
The place was packed with people.
The smell of sulphur was so strong I couldn’t stand it and had to leave. No one else could smell it.
God not mentioned in any of this..strange comments.
Edgar Cayce gave many readings that spoke of spirit attachment and possession. I read all of them recently using the index and his complete works.
He was an interesting man. Very Bible believing which caused him great turmoil in reconciliation with his own readings.

Oh man... So many... Experience with other realms has been a lifestyle for me. And like this story in the OP, Hospitals and rest homes are hot beds for these paranormal experiences and interactions. Between my kids who have careers working in hospitals and rest homes and myself we could fill volumes with interaction stories.
About four years ago an entity attached to my father while he was in the hospital gravely ill. He was on the edge and that one was close. But while he was completely out of his mind he kept pointing to the corner of the room asking “who is that guy?”. Not long after he started asking where his leg had gone and why. “why did you cut off my leg?”.
I had an idea what was happening so I asked his nurse about the previous patient to that bed. Turns out it was an elderly man who needed his leg amputated because of diabetes. And that the operation was just too much for him and he had just passed in that bed before they gave it to Dad.
I knew I was not speaking to my Father anymore, and it took another two days to convince this entity to move on and cross over and not take Dad with him. He moved on and Dad immediately started to improve. Dad remembered none of it once he regained full consciousness...
“As my father in law lay dyeing in the hospital,he kept saying to my wife: “where is my mother? I can hear her,where is she?” Of course his mother was long dead.”
Yes... It is a real thing... There are indeed other dimensions of energy and consciousness. The very young can see some of this before their minds can be influenced and steered away from the possibility of it.
This is very normal.
I was in a restaurant with my wife having dinner, when suddenly both my legs were in excruciating pain. I looked around and saw that a guy in a wheelchair at the next table was a double amputee.
I was feeling his phantom leg pain.
When this happens, saying a prayer for the person diminishes my pain.
Doesn’t surprise me at all.

Not really sure why it’s just something telling me to stay away, I don’t need to be there.
I have to contribute it to The Holy Spirit guiding my path.
I’m pretty sure most liberals are possessed. This is the only decent explanation for their cognitive dissonance.

What what was speaking to you was a demon, not a spirit. Spirits either go to heaven or hell after they die. They don’t wander around on earth.
Demons are removed by commanding them to leave in the Name of JESUS.
“The Holy Spirit guiding my path.”
That is the secret to life.
It’s a bit more complicated than that.
Even Jesus’s disciples ask them why they were unable to cast out some spirits.
I feel viruses as a separate consciousness from the person they occupy. They feel like I am reaching into a big swarm of gnats. I’ve said this for many years prior to Covid.
It is especially true with Covid. It is stronger and denser than most viruses.
Not one time have I heard you mention the Name of JESUS. Demons are cast out in His Name alone.
