NOTHING!! Don’t. Haha, my son and I got into it over “Boomers” a while back. I got really defensive, told him so. Told him it was a silly, ageist, divisive argument and to stop before I throttled him lol. And we were on a LONG drive to go pick out his puppy.
I asked him if he got his news from Patriots.win and he looked at me like how did I know??
But I understand where he is coming from... same reason Patriots.win changed from was it, Trump.win? He and his generation have lost hope in the country and they blame it on us.
That is great news about your mom, Pony! You have an amazing spirit in you that can hear the voice of God.

My mom had Scarlet Fever as a child and I think it possibly scarred her heart valve? So this one had to be replaced. She was NOT going to do it and fought the doctor every step of the way. She was panicked that they were going to make her take the jab, which she absolutely refuses to do. She even canceled the surgery at one point earlier in the summer. The doctor was so pushy about it that I started to wonder what sort of bonus he was getting from doing this.
Finally she decided to start doing the prep work for the surgery and would decide at the end of that if she would go through it. During the catheter test where they check to make sure they would be able to enter through the veins, they discovered two blockages on her heart - one was 90%. It's astonishing how lucky we were that she didn't have a major heart attack. I was at the Starbucks down the street, working on my computer, thinking they were doing this little mapping test and then I would go pick her up. They called me and asked me to come back to the center. I showed up thinking she was ready for pickup and they tell me they've just placed two stents in her heart. "You did WHAT?!" Two hours after that, she walked out to the car like nothing's wrong. I couldn't believe it! But I think that situation made her decide, "Okay, I can't wait any longer."
As I was saying to Radix, she wasn't going to do this surgery and kept swinging back and forth on her decision. The doctor was even trying to get me to pressure her, which I refused to do. "I will support whatever decision she makes, but I'm not going to push her or guilt trip her into anything." In the meantime, during my meditations I was praying on these questions and at one point heard that this would be successful for her. But I still haven't told her I heard that, because... what if I had been wrong and it was my ego playing games with me?
We still have rehab/recovery to go through and severe arthritis makes everything really challenging for her, but I'm staying with her for now until I know she's really back on the road to wellness. I'm just so glad she's out of that hospital and able to take her Z-stack... and I loaded her (and myself) up with vitamin C the second we got in the door.
If any of you have had or know someone who has had this surgery, your input would be greatly appreciated!

my now deceased FIL was out after triple bypass and despite activity restrictions, he was out shooting at a stray dog.....5 days after major heart surgery. He lived many yrs after that.

She has weak lungs. Her asthma is much worse than mine. She said that the dive computer tells her what to do according to how her body is reacting.
Her dive instructor is a former military diver that is certified to 300 feet, is a cave diver, rescue diver, and free diver. His lungs and body are in MUCH better shape than hers and he can dive deeper before decompression becomes an issue, according to her.
So, I guess the answer to the question about how deep you can go without decompressing is, it depends. It’s less deep for her than for somebody else. I’m sure there are rules about it, especially when diving in a group.
