I heard a commenter on Fernando & Matt's show Sunday there were rumors of fake calls going out around the country about active shooters at school.
But late Sunday evening, without my brining it up, I overheard a visiting family member from TN say they their school (in the Nashville area) were getting similar reports.
Question: Is this more than just a rumor? Have you folks been hearing the same reports in your local communities?

I don’t know about the crank calls concerning school shootings, but the DEA is putting out very scary warnings about fentanyl-dusted backpacks and schoolbags left near schools as a new form of murder/terrorism.
Seems like a self-fulfilling prophecy...................
it happened at local high school here in Central Texas last week. First time ever that I can remember.
Swatting is yet another weapon used by the democrat party in this current CWII.
Don’t know the nature of the calls — active shooter or something else — but multiple schools in our area (Central VA) have been put on lockdown in the last week or so. Seems far more than the typical school year so far.

There have been several in the Denver area.
The morning local news had a big story about a large number of these in Ohio, claiming an active shooter at the schools. I think it happened yesterday.
I knew of the Minnesota case but I didn’t know a bunch of other states having the same problem recently.
Coordinated activity? Possibly but it may be inmates around the nation trying to one up the last guy. In the MN case I believe they traced to an inmate, and it looks like that was the case in Ohio too.
Had several bomb threats to local schools in different counties right next to us, we’re in Mooresville North Carolina just north of Charlotte.
