As the Biden admin desperately tries spinning this disastrous economy (look, you’re paying less for gas but still more than before but hey, you should be grateful), it’s becoming more and more obvious that they either have no idea what the Hell they’re doing OR there is sadly some truth to the ‘conspiracy’ that they’re trying to tear down and rebuild … not better, but what that they think our country should be.
And if that’s the case, that ain’t good.

The average American has lost $4,200 in annual income since President Biden took office — entirely wiping out gains made under the Trump administration, an analysis from the Heritage Foundation shows.
The losses come down to surging inflation and higher interest rates, experts at the conservative think tank said in a Thursday report.
Their analysis found that the average American has lost about $3,000 in annual purchasing power because consumer prices, which have risen 12.7% since January 2021, have spiked significantly faster than wages.

Beginning of summer I had 35,000 in one of my accounts. Checked this morning 30,378.
The economic destruction is intentional. Biden’s policy has Barack Obama written all over it - it’s what he wanted to do but was too cowardly when he was the guy who’d take the hit for it.

Hell I’m still waiting for my tax refund I filed the beginning of April.
I see no indications that the left is even slightly concerned that’s going to happen.
In 1936, a telephone poll (one of the first) predicted a landslide for Alf Landon over FDR.
Of course, in November, the people who were no longer able to afford telephones got to vote.
It's easy to find people who hate Democrats. You just don't have much contact with the people who hate Republicans more.

I know quite a few Biden supporters. Most of them are old-school Democrats who can’t grasp that it’s no longer their grandfather’s Democrat Party.
Anyway, they struggle to defend Biden. So much so that they usually just revert back to complaining about Trump.
If someone was considering not buying a car because their 401K was not making anything, then they should consider this....how about not buying a car because you don’t have a 401K or anything else that pays interest. What if you have an emergency fund that POSSIBLY allowed for buying another used car, but is not viable now because it seems all but impossible to find a decent affordable used car anymore? That is of course assuming you even HAVE an emergency fund! Thanks to Joe Biden, an affordable, halfway reliable used car seems an almost impossibility any more. Too many of the newer cars will NEVER be affordable used cars because of the way they are built. Too many of the older cars are now collectibles, commanding high prices. Of course, if you have a car you have to buy gas for it too, and thanks to Biden(again) that is becoming tougher & tougher. Remember when America had a real president?

if you are near retirement or in retirement
you should be in a low risk portfolio
because you do not have time to recover before you need the money
I wish that were true. With a few exceptions RINOs are helping the left implement their agenda quite nicely. Seems even when they get the majority, they don’t act like it. Perhaps it will be “different this time”.
In her situation a large branch came down and destroyed half of her car. And she just got news that her car was totaled. So she had to figure out a way to buy a new car or rent one.
