Getting blood sugar consistently down helps you with a future heart attack.

Not that any of us want that…

So I just need to stay falling down drunk all the time to lower my blood sugar and I’ll live forever. Done and done.

Could be the blood sugar ... could be the vaxx. There’s no way of telling, really.

Thanks CM; Getting blood sugar down avoids diabetes and death by a thousand amputations! (Eny meany miney mo, amputate another toe!)

(An excellent reason to avoid hydrogenated fats as well; they accumulate in your capillaries and block blood flow!)

My mother died of kidney failure associated with diabetes. The doctors looking at her blood work failed to take into account the loss of body mass due to amputation of her legs above the knees and miscalculated the actual high % of creatine (IIRC) in her blood. While at some point they might have taken some action, maybe dialysis, It probably would not have made much difference long term. She was in her late 70s, overweight, and if she wanted cookies she had cookies. ("Don't bother her, let her have what she wants! Its her only pleasure!") Said her Daughter my sister who on her way to the same end.

Remember Future Diabetics! Remind your doctors to adjust total body mass when doing blood work calculations after you get those limbs amputated! (slightly bitter sarcasm / )

“diabetes and hyperglycemia” sounds redundant but it’s apparently not.

My insurer sent me a Livongo glucose meter even though I’m not diabetic. I’m not sure why since my blood sugar has never been a problem. But it’s a cool little toy so I use it. If they had a meter for testing LDL and HDL that would be valuable for me but afaik there isn’t a reliable one.
