Executives from the country’s six largest banks testified before the House Financial Services Committee on Wednesday for its annual oversight to discuss issues including climate change and fossil fuels. Far-left Rep. Rashida Tlaib (MI-D) asked all the bank executives if they have a policy against funding new oil and gas products. Tlaib erupted after JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon humiliated her with his highly concise and on-point response.
“Absolutely not and that would be the road to Hell for America,” Dimon replied. In response, Rashida Tlaib launched an attack on the bank and urged customers to close their JP Morgan accounts. “You know what? Everybody that got released from student loans that have a bank account with your bank should probably take out their account and close their account,” Tlaib said.

I don’t disagree with your assertion but I think they get elected largely because the Democrat Party encourages single issue voting. Don’t like Trump: vote for us. I’m a Muslim: vote for me. Fear climate change: vote Democrat. Feel sorry for immigrants: vote for us. Want legal abortion: vote for Democrats. These voters, sliced and diced among the issues, constitute a majority enough to elect politicians who will vote for their favorite issue but also bring a lot of baggage on other issues with them.
With regards to COVID, there was no way Trump wouldn’t have pissed half the country off, regardless of what he did.

Why would the bank want customers that couldn’t pay their loans?
Representative governance includes having the dumbest of dumb peacock around like their having been elected somehow annointed them with knowledge and wisdom.
How about this, mandate that open jobs as elected officials follow a normal hiring practice stating recommended credentials (education, experience). This would serve as guidance for voters, rather than requirements.
While it would not necessarily prevent an airhead like AOC, it might serve as a competitive leverage to help avoid it.
The job of President calls for a skillet far greater than what a lifelong bullshitter like Biden possesses. Someone competing for that job could/should hammer that deficiency constantly. Until, of course, the DNC election fraudachine nullifies the wishes of the country.
