I am currently reading this book and thought some of you who follow this topic my enjoy it. It was first published in 1979.
I am not even halfway through it but find it very interesting. Vallee (in this book at least) takes a very scientific approach to the subject and (at least as far as I have read so far) is quite skeptical of the various UFO accounts.
His conclusions (so far...) are that, yes, there is something going on, there is an intelligence behind it, that intelligence might or might not be some nefarious human group, the intelligence behind it cannot keep its stories straight (nothing but lies), and there seems to be a method to the madness of whatever intelligence is behind the UFO encounters (that is, it seems to be directing its victims toward certain ways of thinking about reality, life, the planet, and, of course, the occupants of these so-called UFOs).

Feynman once commented that time travel does less violence to our understanding of physics that does faster-than-light travel.
Maybe our distant descendants are visiting their past for some original DNA to fix a medical issue. Maybe it’s their archeologists doing field work. Maybe they’re trying to catch a Who concert.
Ask them if they have any pictures of Hilary, Joe and Barak on their walls.
Of course, I can only speculate given that we don't have the slightest idea of what we are dealing with...yet. BUT, there appear to what we might call "rules of engagement" for interaction with human beings...rules that apply to the Divine and the demonic. I surmise this from both what we know about UFO contact and from what we have learned from credible exorcists.
Demons seem afraid of breaking certain rules...and, though the evidence is very sketchy at this point, there have been some cases wherein these so-called "aliens" seem to react the same way.
Even though I have no doubt they would try to dance all around any question about Jesus, I don't think they would be able to unequivocally state their belief in him unless it were genuine.
As said, this is only rank speculation on my part.
Bit. 🤪
Spider, hell...I think my ex-wife lives in a completely different dimension. I would try poking her with a stick, but I’m afraid she might poke back.;-)
Hey, Rooster.
“Even though I have no doubt they would try to dance all around any question about Jesus, I don’t think they would be able to unequivocally state their belief in him unless it were genuine.”
They admitted who He was in the Bible.
One exorcist I read about asked the demon he was dealing with who the Christ was.
The demon answered affirmatively everything that the exorcist was asking that was supposed to be getting a reaction and the demon was not reacting badly to the questions at all.
This puzzled the exorcist greatly, because the mere mention of the Christ and the eventual hellfires that is their fate is supposed to upset, but it wasn’t upset.
It took awhile for the exorcist to realize that the demon was playing a role at that moment. He was pretending to be the person he was inhabiting and he was answering the questions in the way he thought the inhabited person would answer them.
So, these test questions, when they do their final deceptions may not play as you thought it would play. If Satan and his angels are role-playing space aliens, they will be free to answer every question under the sun in any way that they can be answered and they won’t be upset.
They won’t be answering questions as demons and the devil. They will be answering the questions as a space alien would answer them, so they are free to do that.
Given that, what did they actually admit about Jesus. They knew who he was, but they didn't or couldn't actually say he was "their" Lord and Savior...or what did they say?
Very good point.
They said, from my memory, “We know who you are; have you come to torment us before our time?”
Again, you raise a very good and important point here, I think.
Then He cast them into the unclean pigs, if you’ll remember, and they jumped into the water to drown themselves.
If you ever come across a pig in the water while you’re out on a lovely summer swim ...
“Given that, what did they actually admit about Jesus. They knew who he was, but they didn’t or couldn’t actually say he was “their” Lord and Savior...or what did they say?”
Rooster, I’m going to go out on a limb here ...
I believe they knew and understood that Jesus the Christ is, was, and will be forever, Lord and God over all, including them. They certainly knew their fate. They were/are spirit and God is THE Great Spirit, so I think they’re not unintelligent beings and are not to be fooled with. I think they are more intelligent than we are given that they have access to realms we don’t.
I think you’ll see them tested in that manner, with people waving crosses and telling them that they are bound to hell or whatever you can think of to supposedly expose them and they will pass every test.
That’s why our only protection at this time will be, “Thus saith the Lord.”
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
It can’t be, Rooster, because it applies only to people. Jesus didn’t die for demons.
Let me say it more clearly. If demons can declare that Jesus is Lord, even though they are beyond salvation, we will not be able to discern their identity merely by asking them who Jesus is, will we?
Nope.
You’re means of protection is to stick with God’s word to the best of your understanding and not be compliant.
