PING!...................
I don’t follow the NFL or my former fav 49er team much anymore, but I was under the impression the Niners had traded Garoppolo in the offseason. They’re probably glad they didn’t.
Probably The Jab that gave him weak ankles.
I just discovered that they have play-by-play from an orthopedic dr now.

Replacing Garappolo with Lance is a purely political decision.
Quarterback Trey Lance of the San Francisco 49ers broke his ankle
gonna go out on a limb here and say it was broken for him...
My friend broke his ankle in several places about a year ago. They patched him up, but he will never be able to get past a metal detector now. Lance’s career might be over.
Not that gruesome. No blood or bones sticking out. Just an overpaid civilian laying there crying.
Finally the chance Colin Kaepernick has been waiting for.
Trey Lance did not “break his ankle”. He suffered a broken ankle, or one might say his ankle was broken.
But in either case the injury did not occur because of any direct action on his part, other than the obvious indirect activity of participating in an NFL football game.
Where do they find these people?
The broken ankle ended his season, not the surgery. Good luck to him in rehab.
Garoppolo is a good QB so I’m not sure why was he benched in the first place?
