Prausnitz's lab has been researching microneedles for vaccine delivery for years and realized they could be equally applicable to tattoos. With support from the Alliance for Contraception in Cats and Dogs, Prausnitz's team started working on tattoos to identify spayed and neutered pets, but then realized the technology could be effective for people, too.

Actually bellbottoms are gone.

Tattoos on the other hand just keeps switching which subculture is into them. That’s why they’re permanent. Sometimes it’s this subculture, sometimes that other one, sometimes pop culture.

Tattoos have been around longer than rock and roll. Which many stupid people were sure wasn’t gonna survive the 50s.

Simply put, you’re wrong. Tattoos will outlive you, and me, and all the people who have them. They’ll move out of pop culture soon, but some other subculture will adopt them.

I refer you to Post #50 as it goes a long way toward explaining my refusal during my tenure at that world famous hospital. And BTW...as a long time employee there *and*,since retirement,a regular patient there I can't recall ever seeing a staff member with a tattoo. So maybe I wasn't the only one with that attitude.

And just a reminder...I made it clear that I know that not all people with tattoos are criminals.

I won’t even used a checkout counter if the clerk has a tattoo, or hardware in their lips or noses.

“To me it is an indicator of poor judgement”

True. Major issues with discernment.

Tattoos are used in medicine for multiple purposes. These include covering up scars, guiding repeated cancer radiation treatments, or restoring nipples after breast surgery. Tattoos can also be used instead of bracelets as medical alerts to communicate serious medical conditions such as epilepsy, diabetes, or allergies.

After reading the article, it appears the intended use for this product is for addressing medical situations as described in the above excerpt. That being said, I'm sure there are individuals out there who will think they can buy a kit and adorn themselves with "decorative" tattoos, rather than spend the money to go to a tattoo parlor and have it done by someone who has some artistic talent and knows what they are doing.

You still mentioned criminals in the same comment, what else could you have meant except to equate people with tattoos and criminals?

True or false: At least 95% of guys (don't know about women) who've spent more than 1 year in prison have a tattoo? And a very large percentage of them have a tattoo on their face/neck?

Yes,I *absolutely* associate tattoos (on men) with criminality. And it seems that at least a few others on this thread might agree.

If you have a problem with that perhaps you should put me on your "ignore list"...or report me to the FR police.

... And I could point to hundreds of people I have met over the years with tattoos who have never committed an act of criminality nor have any inclination to do so. Your broad brush judgementalism reflects poorly on you.
I’d tell you to stop digging but as you appear to be convinced of your own moral superiority on the matter, by all means, call in the excavator.
