My previous home was a deluxe all electric condo on 3rd floor with views. There we had electric stove with a flat top. It was so easy to keep clean. My wife was all excited when we bought this brand new house with gas stove & oven. But I end up cleaning the stove top which looks awful after just a few days of use. Gas stoves work faster than electric, that I can tell you. But the cleaning is a chore.
Yes, it is a tradeoff.
