I have enjoyed working here these past several years. You have paid me very well and given me benefits beyond belief. I have 3 to 4 months off per year, and a pension plan that will pay my salary till the day I die and then pay my estate one year's salary death bonus and then continue to pay my spouse my salary with increases until she or he dies along with a health plan that most people can only dream of having. Despite this, I plan to take the next 12 to 18 months to find a new position. During this time I will show up for work when it is convenient for me. In addition, I fully expect to draw my full salary and all the other perks associated with my current job. Oh yes, if my search for this new job proves fruitless, I will be coming back with no loss in pay or status. Before you say anything, remember that you have no choice in this matter. I can, and I will do this.
Sincerely,
Every Member of Congress running for Re-Election
Tar+Feathers+Rail.
Voting ain’t working.
The only problem is that the voters are stupider than the politician. Shocking that Biden is smarter than quite a few voters.
Ain't that the truth!
Prior to the election they will send out mail telling us how they are fighting for us. Included will be a family photo....and one talking to workers while wearing a hard hat. All relevant political talking points will be covered.
Apparently it continues to work.
Looking back at my voting record I am appalled. I believed the mailers. Hey...I campaigned for Romney. That’s just one of them.
Jaded.
Could apply to public employee teacher union critters with slight modification of bennies.
mine is no better, with GHWB, 2 Eyed McCain and Mitt Romney.
I just held my nose and voted for them all.
What choice did we have?
“What choice did we have?”
Voting for the strongest R on the ticket.
The strongest swamp republican didn’t do squat for the people.
Rob Portman? That dude makes me sick.
Biden might be smarter than some voters, but certainly not smarter than all of them. The jobs in the federal government were meant to be temporary, not permanent. Now everybody can see what’s happened by letting them run over & over. By & large, it has been a bad experience. Now we need lots of term limits; permanent term limits.
Not voting makes it all a slam dunk
Term Limits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Politicians are human beings with human traits & foibles. To expect them to ‘sacrifice’ to hold office is to expect the sun to rise in the west!
Thus, another vote for making terms to be limited. I have two minor suggestions to self-limit office tenure in the District of Corruption!
Item 1) Erect an apartment complex with a single bedroom for each Congress-Critter (CC). If they want a family life with a spouse, they have to be home to enjoy it!
Item 2) Each CC is limited to a maximum wealth increase of 8% per year by tax return. Any wealth increase over that escheats to the US Treasury with each tax return.
Whatever rules that were in force on the date of the CC’s election remain in force for that entire span at that office.
Thoughts?
I have been SO PISSED OFF over the 2020 election and the republicans doing NOTHING I took my name off the voter rolls I WAS DONE!! I have reregistered and WILL BE voting in the 2022 elections, I have also become a precinct committee person not that it will do ANY good in CA. however I have met some wonderful people who despise these RINOS on our side as much as I do!! Now that pretty boy Gavin has INSTALLED all mail in balloting I believe CA. will be gone forever just like CO. WA. OR., things are getting SO BAD in the country maybe, just maybe we will be able to overcome the fraud in all of these states!! Canada is NOW trying, Italy and Sweden are fighting back also we will see!!
“Term Limits!”

Do you remember when that was tried? I do. It was a campaign push years back which Republican candidates espoused to get elected.
They didn’t follow thru.... it never happened....why? Because they said they discovered it was unconstitutional.
They are the ones who have to pass the legislation. Think they are going to term limit themselves? Nope.
Some of them no longer reside in the states they were originally elected from, yet voters in those states continue to reelect them.
It’s all about the primaries now.
From what I remember from those 3 candidate's primary debates... Alan Keyes?
