[semi-vanity] Patriotic ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Is STILL Dominating Woke Movies At the Box Office

The article is nothing new, BUT! ... I noticed something in the movie (OK, OK, I bought a copy and have watched it several times) I believe is worth mentioning: Towards then end there's a shot (likely in the Hollywood version of the CIC) where you see Hondo's left shoulder, and the patch he is wearing is the First Navy Jack patch, otherwise known as the Gadsden flag, complete with the snake. This scene occurs when Hangman is told not to launch, no search and rescue, etc. It's only visible for a few frames, but it's a nice touch.

Also, if you are very observant, there's one VERY SHORT shot (not the number painted on the island/flight deck) that identifies the CVN as the Abraham Lincoln. Who can tell me what it is? ;-)

I heard some Hollywierd types the other day on teevee complaining that today’s horrible Americans only come out for Marvel superhero and Maverick movies, and just don’t appreciate real art like them.

They cannot think; just double down on stupid.

If I was a producer, I’d be spinning up pro-American movies like a conveyer belt. Then you could have a bit of money to make the artsy crap for grins and giggles...
