I now watch every Baja hurricane just in case.

I think I’ve seen that same guy in other videos he’s made. Either he or his wife almost got washed away.
A mile away and 400 ft. up is a long way to hear it.
Must be some really mighty waves.
Atmospherics. Can hear the surf really clearly when the street sounds die down.

Having never lived near the ocean I don’t know if I’d like that constant sound or not.
I did on the handful of occasions I visited the coasts.

A hurricane is a hurricane and a typhoon is a typhoon. Or a Hurricane is a University of Miami student. A Typhoon was a RAF fighter plane in WW2.

Living in California can often be like living in one of 3 or 4 states/countries, basically ignored by each other.
So, it sounds like the first hurricane in 25 years could be hitting LA ... interesting!
LA might have semi clean streets and homeless for over a decade or more.
