Attended a Sting concert last night at the great Saratoga Performing Arts Center. He sure still has it, also nice to see.

The songs throughout the night were flawlessly executed by a deft band featuring the guitar tandem of longtime sideman Dominic Miller and his son, Rufus. Sting introduced the ensemble as a “family band,” slyly remarking that bespectacled drummer Zach Jones was Police drummer Stewart Copeland’s son.

Sting is one of those rare individuals/performers/artists who was gifted with so much talent, it's kind of unfair.

John Daly as well, too bad he doesn't have Sting's nutritionist :)

Jack Bruce beat him to it.
Politician by Jack Bruce and Pete Brown

Hey now, baby
Get into my big black car
Hey now, baby
Get into my big black car
I want to just show you
What my politics are

I’m a political man
And I practice what I preach
I’m a political man
And I practice what I preach
So don’t deny me, baby
Not while you’re in my reach

I support the left
Though I’m leaning, leaning to the right
I support the left
Though I’m leaning to the right
But I’m just not there
When it’s coming to a fight

Hey now, baby
Get into my big black car
Hey now, baby
Get into my big black car
I want to just show you
What my politics are

My wife forced me to watch that series, but I don’t remember seeing him in any episodes. Perhaps I went to sleep. :)

People’s loyalties can be so easily won over by music. Yet so many musicians and singers are anti-Christ.

I recall back to my single years in the 70s and how bands with such amazing talent would produce such mesmerizing and harmonious songs, but with low-life lyrics, such as Steely Dan’s ‘deacon blues’ and ‘josie’.

I rarely listen to music anymore. Exception being at church. I could listen to my wife sing gospel tunes all day.
