A leading Catholic scholar claimed that alleged alien abductions stories have parallels with people who say they have encountered demons.

Theologian Dr Paul Thigpen went on to add that aliens are in fact more than likely " demons ".

He also said that the US government know more than they publicly state in relation to UAPs ('Unexplained Aerial Phenomena' - a US military term for UFOs ).

Dr Thigpen told the National Catholic Register: “With UAP we may actually be dealing with extraordinary phenomena of various origins despite similar characteristics.

“Extra-terrestrial hypothesis – the notion that we are encountering non-human intelligences from locations in this universe beyond Earth - best accounts for many UAP.

“The diabolical hypothesis – that they are demons – best accounts for some UAP reports, especially some of the so-called alien abductions’ that demonstrate clear parallels with what the Church knows as demonic encounters.”

These comments come after the US government last year reported on 144 UFO sightings by military pilots since 2004, with only one being explained away as a balloon and the rest "largely inconclusive".

Much LOL ... the Bible has numerous scenes of real encounters with greater dimensional variability thqatn our 4D senses are arranged to sense. Not the least of which is in Daniel chapter fifve. The being whose hand wrote upon the wall in palace party central exists in a set of dimensional variables unsesned by the party goers but real in the meaning of physical reality -the hand was attached to an arm which belonged to a body of a real physical being existing in a state of variables greater than the partiers could sense.

When Jesus left the rock tomb without rolling away the stone blocking the entry (an angel rolled it away so the women could see into the empty tomb), His 4D body exited this 4D set of variables and entered a greater set, from which The Risen Lord exited to visit the disciples int he upper room and from which He came to walk with the tywo disciples on the road to Damascus. And there are many more examples of greater dimensional variable set involvement. So, to make the statement that science has proven the 'distances to be too far for interaction is a silly claim. The very term 'distance' may be an assumption by our limits well existence.

I will also add that The Word of God, the Bible, tells us that we have dimensional reality greater than our physical body since It tells us that when we dies as Christians our spirit goes to be with the Lord awqaiting our transformation day when we will be given a glorified body capable of doing the things Jesus did AFTER His resurrection. Each descendant from Adam has a body, a soul or behavior mechanism of mind, emotion, and will, and a spirit.

The Bible does indeed contain such accounts; and, I believe them. The Bible does not, however, connect those encounters with UFO-related encounters, nor does it address the possibility that Creation includes (or not) many civilizations throughout space. I tend to think of Creation as a really big thing that is above my pay grade.

The UFOnauts are NOT doing anything more heinous to people than people are doing to people. They are also not doing anything to us that we haven't done to animals or other people. That is one thought that leads me to believe they are just flesh and bone, not so extraordinary.
