I love that movie for Gene Kelly and especially his newspaper dance. He did the film as a favor to her.
Garland is noticeably slimmer in Get Happy. This is because she was called back to shoot this number after the film had wrapped. The studio decided Summer Stock needed a better ending and brought Judy back after she had lost quite a bit of weight. The result was one of the most famous signature numbers of her storied career.
