The entire state of California is a cinder box right now. Just stepped outside to grab my mail and it was sweltering. Looks like it's 103 right now. Supposed to peak at 106 but I'm guessing 110.
Hope you're all staying cool...
I’m too fat and old to tube. Plus it is not without risks. The New River kills someone here about every summer and that is just Giles County. You put your foot down and it gets trapped in the rocks.
I’m looking forward to Fall and Winter with 2 firepits with an endless supply of wood, new gas fireplaces, working from home and a pair of Vandersteen 1C’s in the office/den.
My brother lived in LA for 15 years. He was driven out by crime and earthquakes. They even stole his cat.
We need to buy home heating oil and are watching fuel oil prices.
Since gas has been going down, we’re hoping fuel oil will soon as well. If not, we’ve lost nothing by waiting.
I got my mail this morning..65 degrees, no humidity.
My sarcasm is my best skill, so I'm happy to have a fan!
D’OH!
$1.50 OVER the price of pump diesel.
I made the mistake of typing on my iphone on that tiny screen and misread what I’d posted.
Sorry.
Pump is about $4.50, delivery of HHO is around $6.00 plus a gallon.
That’s true.
AZ is that hot for months on end. No issues with energy, we are 100% nuclear powered.
Is there a sun flare hitting us ?
I’ve been here through 115 degree summers for years, but today when I drove down to the store, parked, grabbed my metal inside door handle and it burnt my fingers on it the inside of my rig was so hot. Almost blisters hot. Had to use key ring to open that handle when I got home.
Maybe my old fingers are just old now and easier to burn, but boy this year’s heat seems way worse. Almost if uv light is more intense.
IDK what you guys are complaining about, it feels wonderful sitting here in my deep freeze. ❄️🍺🥶❄️
Are you saying I exaggerated?
There was a hurricane turned tropical storm that went right up the Gulf of California in 1977 and did a lot of damage to the lower California deserts (I-8 was washed out as was the railroad line between El Centro and San Diego)
Just plug in a city and State.
and a date.
And so does your brother Darryl and your other brother Darryl.
Do u live in the desert?
I lived grew up in SoCal...I recall very hot weather in the summer and especially early fall....
I recall the Santa Ana Winds.....
Glad I moved out of that hell hole.
Good old BB.
HHO $1.50. No way, all the rednecks would be filling their trucks up at home if that were the case.
