“Here Comes the Sun” is one of the Beatles’ great hits from their Abbey Road album, written by George Harrison at the country house of his friend Eric Clapton. Those were down days for George, and one of the song lines, “Little darlin', it's been a long, cold, lonely winter” might apply as much to George’s life in 1969 England as it will collectively to the upcoming winter in Europe.
The sun is shining these days as it is still summer in the Northern Hemisphere, but not for long. News stories abound for those paying attention. From Euronews, “European governments are scrambling to find ways to shield households and businesses feeling the impact of the surge in energy prices that have soared to record highs.”

The White House has taken notice, yet despite their so-called focus and efforts to alleviate this mess, they have rammed through their “green new deal,” ironically called the “Inflation Reduction Act”, which will only make things worse.

I’m not a climatologist but just an old country boy that has lived in tune with nature for a lifetime and the “signs” are indicating a very serious winter this year . I’m doubling up on the firewood supply and the propane tanks are getting topped off . Thanks to PedoHitler the propane is $2.99 this year instead of the $1.29 I was paying under Trump . FJB !

Consequences are what humble us, what give us pause when we are about to make a rash mistake. Our losses teach us about the limits of humanity, and those who do not learn from the wisdom they impart are usually setting themselves up for an even bigger disaster. The liberal world order that rules the West has been so dominant for so long that our elites cannot imagine a scenario where there are serious and lasting consequences to the decisions they make. Cultural and economic hegemony have allowed Western leaders to impose incoherent policies of global governance while insulating themselves from any costs those policies might exact. This has granted our elites an illusion of inevitable victory which makes it impossible for them to change course, even when the disastrous results of those policies come crashing through the walls of their ivory tower.
This is why Western nations have been willing to outsource energy production to hostile nations like Russia, and then turn around and fight a proxy war with that provider over a client state like Ukraine.

Germany could be forced to scrap Oktoberfest celebrations and its famous Christmas markets as officials desperately search for ways to save energy after Russia began throttling gas supplies to Europe.
Hanover, yesterday became the first major city on the continent to announce it will turn off all hot water in public buildings to conserve energy, while Berlin has begun dimming streetlights and Augsburg has turned off public water fountains.
Although Europe is scrambling to get energy from elsewhere, any difficulties this winter could be a harbinger of worse to come if Russian gas supplies are completely severed and stay off through 2023, said France’s minister overseeing energy, Agnès Pannier-Runacher.
“If gas deliveries are cut by the end of the year, that will mean we’ll have a full year without Russian gas, so the following winter could be even harder,” Pannier-Runacher told French senators.
Europe was the battlefield for world wars 1 and 2. It looks like it’s going to be a battlefield again.

When President Trump let the energy sector actually apply their skills, we began exporting Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) in massive quantities, in massive ships. Many European countries were using this energy source.
Germany is now building five (5) floating LNG terminals to offload LNG. They may finish building these terminals by the time President Trump returns to the White House. Hmmmm.... Will the Germans have high-priced lobbyists in place to counter all the greenie girliemen trying to shut down any and all energy production.
Perhaps we can remind them that while Obambi was focused on shutting down any electricity generated by burning coal, he allowed and promoted shipping large amounts of coal to.... yes.... China. China is building thousands of coal-fired electricity plants. Obambi did not want Americans to benefit from more electricity, but has no problem with a communist dictatorship burning more and more coal. Here in the United States we try hard to burn coal without releasing pollution (C02 is NOT pollution. C02 is plant food). In China, the people are the same as cattle to the Chicoms. If some happen to breathe in pollution from factories, oh well. A few million dead here, a few million dead again, no worries.
