A portion of Interstate 55 in Memphis, Tennessee, was forced to partially close Tuesday evening after a tractor-trailer wreck sent alfredo sauce pouring across the roadway.
The wreck was reported shortly before 5 p.m. local time.
Police and fire crews did not confirm what the truck was carrying, but a reporter with Nexstar’s WREG that was on the scene confirmed that the truck was carrying jars of alfredo sauce.

Carryin' thirty thousand jars Of alfredo ...
He was a young driver
just out on his second job
And he was carryin' the next day's tasty sauce
For everyone in that music city
Where pasta swims without despair
In Travertine tile clad dining rooms that serve each day
Just about thirty thousand jars
Of alfredo
Yes, just about thirty thousand jars
Of alfredo

The driver, Anthony Gemelli, was unhurt. However his tractor trailer was, unfortunately, a total loss.
Onlookers were genuinely surprised because Alfredo is never served with rig of Tony.

Alfredo sauce too rich for me. They are going to have to check the highway for high cholesterol.

Olive Garden gets their alfredo sauce in tank trucks, or at least in 55-gallon drums, not jars.
