A teenager lost an arm while attempting to subway surf on a train inside a New York City subway station.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street Station in Jackson Heights, Queens.
Police sources told FOX 5 NY's Linda Schmidt the teen was trying to climb on top of a subway car when he fell off. Then a northbound R train hit the teen and severed an arm.
The NYPD said the boy was rushed to Bellevue Hospital and underwent emergency surgery. He was listed in stable condition.

Guaranteed there’s a lawsuit coming. I remember the drunk Princeton student who climbed up on the “ dinky”, the single car electric that runs from the university to the main line. He survived and won multiple millions. Consequently, the train no longer stored at the station at night- several million more to house it behind fencing miles away.

Teen boys will always do stupid things. My late uncle lost a foot trying to jump a train in the 1930s. He slipped and a boxcar ran over his ankle. He told us not to be stupid as teens, then I did - did a wheelie across a parking lot with my motorcycle (Honda 175) into a Ford CountrySquire, totalled the wagon (every window broke), bent front wheel on my Honda.
