Cool gig you had!
I had never heard of Daniel Radcliffe until I saw the video's credits.

Reminds me of some of the rock lyrics that have been misunderstood by some. “there's the bathroom on the right” instead of “there's a bad moon on the rise”...and “excuse me while I kiss this guy” instead of “excuse me while I kiss the sky”.

By the way, this is a totally farcical account of Yankovic' life (no, he did not have a relationship with Madonna), just like his song parodies.Oh, good to know, I should have figured out even the trailer would be a spoof.

Definitely on my list to watch.
Trailer looked pretty wild. Didn't know Al was a “Partier” 😉

Occasionally, the singer from Credence WILL sing it with the “bathroom on the right” lyric to the crowd.

At one time singers and bands knew they had officially Made It if Weird Al did a parody of one of their songs.

Oh gawd, I remember listening to Dr Demento in the late 80’s early 90’s.
Good times indeed.

Early in Prince’s career, Al wrote several letters to him, asking permission to make parodies of his hit songs. Prince never responded. One day, Al happened to walk past Prince who was leaving a studio building. Al revived the topic of making a Prince parody.
Prince stared at Al and sort of whispered “You steal people’s souls in your work!!” . Prince kept walking, entered his limo and was quickly driven away.

His “Happy Birthday” song is good too.

There are all kinds of “connections” in that one, such as Greg Kihn driving the car at the end.
I never did figure out though - how did Carbondale, Illinois, get into that vid?

I'm watching this.
Not going to try and figure when Al is pulling my leg, and when he isn't.

The architect with the PhD contestant (Milton) was from Carbondale, IL.

Dr. Demento show on KMET 94.7, the Mighty Met, was always fun for a Sunday evening. My favorite is Word Crimes. Tragic how Jim Ladd destroyed KMET with his poor business skills. KMET today is owned by ABC and has talk shows.

Oh, he actually was from Carbondale. Heh. But, that makes sense, given the other straightforward “connections”. And here I was thinking it was some unlikely tie-in with Bucky Fuller or something.

'Word Crimes' is sheer genius. Weird Al certainly has stood the test of time.
